Slide Mode: Teleprompter text without scrolling

In Slide Mode, the teleprompter displays one stationary phrase at a time. Read it, then move on to the next. Slides advance automatically using voice recognition or manually. This mode is patented by our company.

Static text is easier to read, and you can place the teleprompter farther from the camera. Since only part of the script appears on screen at a time, you can display it in a larger font.

Static slides are useful when filming with multiple cameras. You can look from one camera to another without losing your place in the script, as you might with scrolling text.
The screenshots in this guide are from the desktop app. The feature works the same way in the mobile app.

Creating slide text from scratch

  • Click Add Slide. The first slide will appear; enter your text.
  • Press Enter to move to the next slide, then continue typing.

Automatically split existing text into slides

Select the text and click Auto Slides. AI will analyze the text and split it into slides.

To change the splitting rules, click Auto Slides twice to open and edit the prompt.

How to move, split, and merge slides

  • To move part of a phrase to an adjacent slide, place the cursor before the words and click the button to move them to the previous or next slide.
  • To split a slide in two, place the cursor where you want the break and press Enter.

  • To merge a slide with the previous one, place the cursor at the beginning of the slide and press Backspace.
  • To start a new line within a slide, press Shift+Enter.

How to combine slides with scrolling text

You can alternate between regular scrolling text and slides in one script, in any order and as many times as you like.
Each block appears on the teleprompter in its own mode: scrolling text moves, while each slide stays still. When one block ends, the next begins. To start a scrolling-text block after slides, press Enter twice.

Controlling slides from the desktop editor

To advance slides automatically as you speak, turn on voice recognition in the editor. Your computer will listen to you and advance the slides as you read.

For voice-controlled slide advancement, we recommend using phrases of at least four words. This gives speech recognition enough time to process what you say and advance to the next slide.
To show a specific slide on the teleprompter, click its number. You can then use the ↑ and ↓ arrow keys to switch slides.

Switching slides on the teleprompter

Turn on voice recognition directly on the teleprompter device. Or connect a Bluetooth remote to advance the slides manually.
